Google TV to Get Gemini AI in 2025, While LG and Samsung Partner with Microsoft to Integrate Copilot into Their 2025 Smart TVs
At CES 2025, LG and Samsung announced a new partnership with Microsoft to bring Copilot, an AI assistant, to their 2025 Smart TVs.
While specific details about Copilot’s capabilities on TVs remain limited, Samsung demonstrated a vision for the future of AI in Smart TVs. In the demo, the Smart TV planned a tourist route for Las Vegas based on user preferences, featuring enriched graphics and maps. Perhaps one day, this functionality will become a reality, but it is unlikely to be fully integrated into the 2025 TVs.
Copilot for 2025 Smart TVs
Samsung confirmed that its 2025 Smart TVs (Q7F and higher) and Smart Monitors will feature Copilot AI as part of a broader “Vision AI” initiative. This announcement comes on the heels of Google Assistant being removed from all Samsung TVs.
“In collaboration with Microsoft, some 2025 Smart TVs and monitors from Samsung will feature Microsoft Copilot. This partnership will allow users to explore the extensive range of Copilot services, including personalized content recommendations,” Samsung announced.

Meanwhile, LG plans to integrate Copilot into its 2025 OLED TVs.
“Finding content on LG’s latest OLED evo TVs has never been easier, thanks to AI Search6, which uses a large language model (LLM) to understand conversational context and grasp subtle user intent. Access to Microsoft Copilot further simplifies the process, enabling users to efficiently find and organize complex information through contextual prompts,” LG announced.
At CES 2025, Google also revealed that its Gemini AI will appear on Google TVs from TCL, Hisense, and Sony by the end of the year.
